Why do I get blocked?
Webnmore enforce a strict security and firewall systems on all of our hosting servers to prevent abuse and attacks from outside of our network. It is in the prevention of attacks that when we have many repeat attempts at accessing the website/emails from the one IP address, we have an automatic block on this. The most common blocking for our own clients is when there have been multiple email login attempts, with the incorrect details and our server thinks that this is someone else trying to login to your account (computer programmed hacking).
Am I being blocked by the Webnmore Server?
**** Please note this article is only for clients who have their website hosting and emails hosted through Webnmore cPanel01 *****
If you are unable to connect to your server/website or send/receive emails at any stage, you can use the "Check IP Status" in your client account to check if you have been blocked in our firewall.
- Login to Client Area (make sure you are using the computer or network from which you are being blocked)
- When logging in your IP is atomatically checked to see if it is listed, if so it removes from the server
- If you need to remove another IP address, in the navigation menu under services click 'My Services" and click on the service your associating the block with
- on the left navigation menu, click "Manage Firewall" and navigate from there.
You should now be able to access the server immediatly.
Please make sure you do not have any FAILED log in attempt afterwards. Our firewall trace every single failed log in attempt to your account. This includes, failed attempt to access FTP, cPanel, and emails.
